London: Hello Bradley Fans! Katie (the photographer) will be blogging today! After two busy days of independent travel, classes were back in session this morning for Bradley students. Dr. Herbert's English class used the tube system to get to "Speaker's Corner", an area near Hyde Park where people come to publicly voice their opinions on religion, politics, and society. Here the students encountered several "unique" views on topics such as: foreigners in Britain, being saved by the Lord, and why it is bad for women to smoke (ask your student for specifics).
Later in the day, Dr. Maloney's English class took a brief tour of The University of London near our hotel. Here Dr. Maloney unleashed a powerful new secret: you can get 60 minutes of internet for just 1 pound (it's 15 minutes for 1 pound in the hotel lobby)! Students were particularly excited to hear this news as another paper is due quite soon. The countdown to the end has begun: only 5 more days in London - who knew a term could go by so fast?!
