MAY 19 - JUNE 5, 2009
The Program in Vienna is an innovative academic collaboration with students and professors from the University of Vienna. Based on our successful collaboration in 2007, The Vienna Program is a new international academic program that will result in a total of 5 hours of academic credit.
The Vienna Program begins with a one-credit-hour seminar in Spring Semester, preceeding the trip. In the seminar, which will be cross listed as LAS 305, CFA 305,and EHS 305, students will study the history and cultures of Vienna, prepare for collaborations with the University of Vienna and develop questions and topics for exploration of Vienna in individual courses. Students will also become familiar with the Vienna Study Abroad program and with their Vienna faculty and other students. The course will meet the second half of Spring Semester: March - May in GCC 202 on Mondays 3:30 - 5:30. Professor Timothy Conley will lead the class.
Note: this course is required for all students in the Vienna Program 2009. It will NOT require additional tuition, and it will NOT cause students to pay an additional hours or "overload" fee.
This seminar class is also separate from the one-hour LAS 101 class for which students will receive credit. (LAS 101 requirements will be met during the May travel dates.)
So be part of an innovative academic program that will provide you with 5 hours of academic credit and a remarkable international experience as well! If you have questions about this program in general, or want to know more about The Vienna Seminar, feel free to contact Prof. Conley (x 2476; tkc@bradley.edu).
